Well, I have some good news and some bad news.

First the bad news.  We have to change the opening date to some time in April.

Now the good news.  We still get to open in Spring!

As you know, Wesley and I have chosen a rather different way of going into business so we can pursue our coffee house dream without going into debt.  We chose to learn what has to be done; then raise the money first; then implement our plans in small chunks.   As we raise money through our side jobs, we add whatever is next on the list of things to do.   We are up against a major expense right now, which is the parking lot.  Zoning requires us to have a parking lot and that requires us to delay the day we can open.    Wesley and I have a project lined up that will end March 24th and unfortunately, that means we can’t open on March 21st because we won’t have the parking lot money until March 26th.   We will need some time for the parking lot to be completed and city folks to inspect.

In the meantime, we need taste testers!   We’re going to organize a taste testing party so to be included, you need to subscribe to either this site, or the coffee house blog.  It’s a party that will be open only to subscribers.    We need to unveil our improved cupcake recipes, our house coffee and our breakfast menu.   This gives us a little over 30 days to have the taste testing party, make improvements according to your feedback, and then open to the public.
