We are closing temporarily, and possibly until Spring 2014. We refuse to take out a bank loan because that defeats the purpose of pursuing our dream without going the Corporate American way. We are headed to Maryland again to raise more money. It’s been part of our journey to raise money as we go, and even though this is painstakingly slow, it’s rewarding. We are not giving up on our dream. It’s just going to take longer to have everything in place.
We’re going to have to rewire to set up the coffee bar. Plus we need a proper parking lot. Not to mention, we need proper suppliers, so when we reopen, we’ll have our food co-op, coffee bar and parking lot; regardless of how long it takes to complete it.
For those who have coupons, they will be refunded.
We hope you’ll continue to keep up with our journey as we will be updating frequently and we hope you will be our customers again when we re-open.

We really miss our customers. I think I'm having an emotional moment and need a Clinton Cheesesteak. My niece, Megan, is working here in Maryland as well, so I think I'll have to start working out the recipes for the other sandwiches and have her taste test since I don't have all of you here. I miss you guys and I can't wait to get the parking lot done so we can be open for good. 3 days ago Business 101: Don't ever let anyone tell you your work is not good enough, or that your dream is a waste of time. Wesley and I started working towards our dream in December of 2008. Though it is taking a long time to complete the coffee house, we sometimes have to weed through cruel comments about us, our work, or being entrepreneurs, or not punching a normal time clock, or so many other things said to us. Be encouraged and follow your business dreams. In all things, acknowledge the Lord and He will make your paths straight. It may take a while to get your business up and running, but just remember the journey is part of the reward. 3 days ago - 3 days ago
We have Internet access so now I'll be able to write more often. Our latest update is we are still working on the Potomac River until the 21st, then we move to a new location. Starting on the 24th, we'll be able to add money to our parking lot kitty and start getting caught up on the coffee house payments. Hopefully we can even start adding money to the down payment savings on this trip. 3 days ago LOL... someone is playing a joke on Our Little Coffee House? They put a notice in our mail box to the postal carrier saying: "This address is currently vacant. Do not place mail in this box. VACANT." Seriously? Why would someone do that? It's not funny if we don't get our mail. It's not vacant. We are working very hard to raise money for the coffee house development and Mommy Jean is taking care of the place. 5 days ago
