Our Little Coffee House is the result of praying and planning. Wesley & Colleen Crawford met in Macon, Georgia, where Wesley was born. They moved to Tennessee to be closer to Colleen’s family.
Their dream was to own a coffee house, and they began the adventure in 2008, but the cost of commercial buildings was so expensive that all they could do was continue to plan, and wait.
Wesley & Colleen waited three years to see their plans become a reality. In December of 2011, they found an adorable house in Clinton that was zoned for commercial use. It’s perfect for their coffee house theme; “A home away from home.”
They have made a decision to develop the coffee house without going into debt. It is a slow, challenging process to approach a dream of this size, but it’s an adventure that makes Biblical sense. Even though they have faced many obstacles, they hope to help other entrepreneurs they meet at the coffee house and through their newspaper; Kudzu Jungle.
Both love the Lord with all their hearts and want a music ministry. Wesley plays drums and is learning to play guitar. Colleen is learning vocals and percussion, but also has an interest in playing piano, doumbek drum and Native American flute. Colleen is also an artist and plans to open an art gallery for Tennessee artists in future phases of the coffee house development plan.
Stop in Friday evenings and learn a song, play an instrument or fellowship with them! The coffee house closes at 3 pm on Fridays but you are welcome to join them for worship music and Bible study.
